How do we show that? Measuring progress in the third sector

DataKind UK was joined by a panel of charity leaders to discuss the challenges of capturing data that demonstrates your progress.

Learn how to demonstrate your organisation’s value and build a narrative about your impact, no matter your size. Citizens Advice and Money A+E both tackle financial exclusion, especially for minoritised groups. They are at very different stages in their data use, but one of the major challenges they all face is tracking their service users’ journeys and progress.

From collection to reporting, tools, and qualitative vs quantitative outcomes, there is a lot to consider. Our panel share their approaches to measuring and monitoring how service users progress, and future plans for getting the answers they need from their data.

Our panel:

  • Moderator Lindsey Macdonald - CEO, Magic Breakfast; Vice-Chair, DataKind UK

  • Holly Law - Insights and Impact Manager, CA North Somerset

  • Frederick Limbaya - Executive Director, Money A+E

  • Michael Mitchell - Data Analyst, CA Cambridge

  • Finn Pierau - Co-creation and Impact Officer, Money A+E

  • Stuart Pearson - Head of Innovation, CA SORT
